Rules for attending the Masquerade at Eurocon 2007

Rules for attending the Masquerade:

Age: Minimum 16 years of age.
You have to be at least 16 years old to participate in the masquerade.

Do an Act/Sketch/Walk-on
You have to do an act, a sketch or a walk-on to participate in the masquerade. The walk-on is like doing a 'catwalk' and showing off your costume to the audience. If you want to do an act, then you have to do it on stage.
There will be microphones for your use near the stage.

Singing
If you’re attending in the masquerade with a song, then the song has to have relation to the series/movie/book that your figure(s) is from. If so, then burn a disc with only that track on. This is to prevent that our technician has problems with finding the right track on the CD. Remember to check that the CD is working before the masquerade. Also remember that the song that you’re going to sing is the first track on the CD.

Time. 3-5 minutes
You will get 3-5 minutes to prove to the judges that you’re qualified to win the masquerade. You will only get that amount of time because of the length of the whole masquerade.

Groups: Max 6 people
We encourage people to participate in groups. But the highest number of people in a group is 6.

Photos
It’s okay to take pictures at the masquerade. It will also be possible to take pictures of the winners after the competition.

Sets
It’s not possible to bring any setpieces on the stage, because it will take to much time to set it up between the masquerade-entries.
